About the Role
You will lead the bring-up, validation, and performance characterization of robotic hand electrical and mechatronic systems. You will develop automated test workflows, investigate cross-disciplinary issues, analyze performance data, define validation metrics, and document results to support production scaling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of electrical or mechatronic systems validation experience
- Understanding of power delivery, motor drives, actuator control, sensing, and grounding
- Python proficiency for automation, data acquisition, and analysis
- Experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DAQs, and thermal sensors
- Ability to debug integrated hardware, firmware, and control-loop issues
- Documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical and mechatronic bring-up and system validation for hand subsystems
- Plan and execute electrical, actuation, power-consumption, and thermal validation
- Develop and automate validation workflows and test setups
- Debug hardware, firmware, controls, and mechanical issues using lab instrumentation
- Lead root-cause analysis and drive design, firmware, or process improvements
- Build and maintain Python data logging, visualization, and analysis tools
- Define KPIs and validation metrics for performance, reliability, and fleet health
- Document bring-up procedures, validation results, and integration learnings
