About the Role

You will act as the primary technical bridge between design teams and on-site construction partners during data center construction through operational handover. You will support installation, testing, commissioning, quality assurance, troubleshooting, safety, progress tracking, and resolution of electrical infrastructure issues across power distribution and backup systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments supporting construction or operations
  • Practical understanding of electrical power distribution equipment assembly and installation
  • Hands-on experience with on-site construction and third-party contractors and electrical subcontractors
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex field installation issues
  • Ability to travel frequently or reside near the assigned project site
  • Professional Engineer license or EIT certification is preferred
  • Experience with high-density rack installation is preferred
  • Mega project construction experience is preferred
  • PMP, OSHA 30, or equivalent safety certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support installation and quality assurance for critical electrical infrastructure
  • Perform functional checkout, testing, and commissioning
  • Monitor power backup and conditioning systems
  • Support substation protection system management
  • Provide technical support for RFIs and temporary power switching
  • Track construction progress against project milestones
  • Resolve RFIs and Field Engineering Directives
  • Document lessons learned and field service bulletins
  • Review commissioning documents for technical accuracy
  • Champion electrical safety
