About the Role
You will own electrical hardware from concept through a working system. You will design electronics using custom PCBs or industrial components, solve instrumentation and controls problems, write firmware, maintain documentation, and ensure compatibility across mechanical and software systems.
Requirements
- Have a background in electrical controls engineering
- Have PCB design experience
- Have 1–4 years of electrical design experience or strong new-graduate project or internship experience
- Have prior design work
- Solve problems across multiple systems
- Work on-site in San Francisco five days per week
- Have hardware, robotics, or industrial automation experience
- Have firmware development experience with embedded C, C++, or Rust, motor control, or communication protocols
Responsibilities
- Design electrical hardware from concept to working system
- Develop instrumentation and actuation solutions with mechanical engineers
- Build electronics systems using custom PCBs or industrial components
- Debug systems and write firmware for control interfaces
- Research and develop electrical instrumentation and controls solutions
- Maintain documentation and ensure cross-functional compatibility
- Design and debug industrial automation electronics and PCBs
