About the Role

You will take ownership of the full-process design, optimization, and implementation of medium and low voltage (10KV~400V) power distribution systems in data centers, from system planning through electrical construction drawing preparation and equipment selection. You'll work with common data center power distribution architectures, independently completing distribution system design, load calculations, and solution validation. You will design and review electrical layout plans, tray systems, and busbar systems, planning cable routes and layouts for feasibility and maintainability. You'll design lighting and emergency lighting systems, grounding and lightning protection systems, and firefighting system power distribution, ensuring compliance with fire safety and data center codes. You will perform harmonic filtering and reactive power compensation design, and conduct short circuit current and load calculations to select and set protective devices. You'll coordinate with construction units and equipment suppliers on technical clarifications, oversee on-site construction, and participate in testing and acceptance. You will also develop operation and maintenance plans, resolve electrical faults, and maintain technical documentation to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering and Automation, Power System Automation, Power Distribution Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medium and low voltage power distribution design/operation and maintenance
  • Prior experience in large-scale data center projects (≥1000 racks) preferred
  • Proficiency in design, operation, and maintenance of 10KV~400V medium and low voltage power distribution systems
  • Ability to independently complete power distribution system design and electrical construction drawings
  • Proficient in using software such as CAD, EPLAN
  • Skilled in electrical layout, cable tray systems, and busbar systems design
  • Expertise in lighting systems and emergency lighting systems design
  • Proficient in grounding protection system and lightning protection system design
  • Familiarity with fire protection power distribution system design principles
  • Technical proficiency in harmonic filtering and reactive power compensation
  • Competence in short circuit current and load calculations
  • Familiarity with GB 50174, GB 51348, GB 50057, and GB 50016 standards
  • Familiarity with U.S. NEC electrical codes and UL standards
  • Certifications such as Registered Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution), High Voltage Electrician License, or PMP are a plus
  • Hands-on experience with data center power distribution system testing, commissioning, and fault emergency handling
  • Familiarity with UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers
  • Strong project management and coordination skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, optimize, and implement medium and low voltage (10KV~400V) power distribution systems in data centers
  • Plan power distribution systems, prepare electrical construction drawings, and select power distribution equipment
  • Independently complete overall distribution system design, load calculations, and solution validation
  • Design and review electrical layout plans, tray systems, and busbar systems
  • Plan cable routes, tray layouts, and busbar installations for feasibility and maintenance convenience
  • Design lighting and emergency lighting systems including illumination calculations and power distribution
  • Design grounding and lightning protection systems including surge protection devices
  • Design power distribution for firefighting systems including fire pumps, smoke exhaust fans, and dual power transfer
  • Design harmonic filtering and reactive power compensation for power distribution systems
  • Perform short circuit current and load calculations for protective device selection and setting
  • Coordinate with construction units and equipment suppliers on technical clarifications and on-site construction
  • Participate in testing and acceptance of power distribution systems
  • Adhere to national and industry standards such as GB 50174 and GB 51348
  • Develop operation and maintenance plans for power distribution systems
  • Identify and resolve electrical faults and optimize system parameters
  • Organize and update technical documentation and design drawings
