About the Role

You will organize and prioritize hardware work across multiple teams, keeping tasks on schedule. You will operate and maintain 3D printing equipment, diagnose hardware issues, improve shop workflows, and clearly document test results and data. You will work on-site and contribute hands-on to a broad range of hardware projects.

Requirements

  • Making experience, such as DIY projects or makerspace experience
  • Proficiency in CAD
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware issues
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Ability to take initiative and identify improvement opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to developing engineering skills through hands-on experience
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a high-ownership mindset
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco five days per week, and six days per week during crunch time if needed
  • Experience at a hardware, robotics, or manufacturing company
  • Hands-on experience with shop tools beyond 3D printing
  • Comfort using AI tools
