About the Role
You will define and execute the aircraft power-system vision from concept through production. You will design, develop, integrate, test, and troubleshoot high-power systems and power electronics, establish a power-electronics lab, lead engineers, and drive cross-functional architecture execution.
Requirements
- Power-system design experience on large aircraft or an equivalent power system.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience delivering power-system and power-electronic products to market.
- Proficiency with electrical-engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment.
- Technical fundamentals and analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the aircraft power-system vision from concept to production.
- Design, develop, and integrate high-power systems for harsh environments.
- Design custom high-power and high-voltage power electronics.
- Design an uninterruptible power system with a high-capacity battery.
- Conduct make-versus-buy trade studies and select, test, and integrate modules.
- Build a power-electronics lab.
- Verify system performance and reliability.
- Debug electrical, environmental, and manufacturing problems.
- Build and lead engineers dedicated to power-system design.
- Drive cross-functional execution of the top-level architecture.
- Provide mentorship, design reviews, and program-execution leadership.
