About the Role
You will define enterprise data-platform architecture and technical strategy. You will guide platform delivery, establish engineering standards, translate priorities into roadmaps, lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, improve platform reliability and performance, and advance AI-enabled automation.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data platform architecture, data engineering, or distributed systems
- Experience designing governed data platforms for AI and structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
- Expertise in Python, Java, Scala, SQL, Snowflake, DBT, cloud data platforms, and distributed analytics
- Experience with batch and real-time data pipelines, workflow orchestration, data transformation, and event streaming
- Expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, containerized platforms, infrastructure automation, data governance, metadata management, lineage, and enterprise security
- Understanding of APIs, data modeling, data quality, observability, and performance optimization
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
- Exposure to machine learning, artificial intelligence, and generative AI
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve target-state architecture for enterprise data platforms, shared services, APIs, SDKs, metadata, configuration, and data models
- Partner through technical discovery, prototyping, implementation, rollout, and adoption
- Define and drive technology strategy and engineering direction across application and data platforms
- Provide technical leadership for distributed application, integration, and data platforms
- Translate business priorities into executable technology roadmaps
- Establish engineering standards for quality, resilience, security, operational excellence, and governance
- Evaluate strategic trade-offs and manage dependencies with stakeholders
- Develop senior engineering talent
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering capabilities and intelligent automation
