About the Role
You will own the software roadmap and execution across autonomy, SkyNav, and internal tools. You will build and lead the software organization, write and review code, solve difficult technical problems, work with operators and customers on live deployments, and improve software reliability, performance, and maintainability as deployments scale.
Requirements
- Experience shipping and supporting complex production software systems
- Experience leading and developing software teams while remaining close to technical work
- Experience with autonomy, robotics, or mission planning systems
- Systems thinking across autonomy, frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Experience operating where software meets hardware and real-world constraints
- Experience building with Python, C++, and JavaScript
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or eligibility under applicable export control regulations
Responsibilities
- Own software execution and roadmap across autonomy, SkyNav, and internal tools
- Build, lead, and develop the software team
- Own software organization design, delivery, team health, and budget
- Write and review code and solve difficult technical problems
- Set technical direction through shipped systems and measurable outcomes
- Work with operators and customers to iterate from deployment feedback
- Partner with hardware, flight, and manufacturing teams
- Improve software reliability, performance, and maintainability
