About the Role
You will design, launch, and run a factory operation. You will build assembly processes, production flow, work instructions, tooling, test stations, safety policies, and schedules. You will lead technicians, manage procurement and inventory, establish quality systems, coordinate production readiness, and improve cost, throughput, yield, and delivery performance.
Requirements
- Five to seven years of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, production, or related hardware experience.
- Experience building or scaling production for complex electromechanical products.
- Experience leading technicians and performing hands-on assembly, tooling, inventory, and production work.
- Experience with procurement, suppliers, inventory, BOMs, production planning, and ERP or MRP systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality, documentation, process control, and root-cause analysis.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Experience with rugged electronics, robotics, automotive, industrial equipment, or field-deployed hardware.
Responsibilities
- Design and scale assembly processes, production flow, work instructions, tooling, test stations, safety policies, and schedules.
- Translate commercial forecasts into capacity, labor, supply-chain, purchasing, and production plans.
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage assembly technicians.
- Purchase components, manage suppliers, track inventory and lead times, and prevent shortages.
- Establish quality assurance, testing, build records, traceability, and defect-resolution processes.
- Coordinate BOMs, design changes, new-product introduction, and design-for-manufacturing improvements.
- Improve manufacturing cost, throughput, yield, rework, and production KPIs.
- Ensure systems are built, tested, documented, serialized, packaged, and ready for handoff.
