About the Role
You will lead hardware execution across structures, avionics, power, and system integration. You will take aircraft hardware from prototype through production, testing, and fielded reliability; lead the hardware engineering team; make technical decisions; establish scalable standards and test practices; and work with manufacturing, supply chain, and flight test to improve operations.
Requirements
- Experience shipping complex hardware systems into production
- Experience leading hardware teams while remaining close to design and integration work
- Background in avionics, aircraft systems, or integrated electromechanical platforms
- Experience with UAVs, aircraft certification environments, or defense programs
- Experience building hardware for operational environments
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or eligibility under applicable export control regulations
Responsibilities
- Own aircraft hardware execution across structures, avionics, power, and system integration
- Lead and grow the hardware engineering team
- Drive technical decisions through design reviews, trade studies, and system integration
- Take hardware from prototype to production with a focus on manufacturability and reliability
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and flight test
- Establish scalable hardware standards, documentation, and test practices
- Support certification, compliance, and customer-driven requirements
