About the Role
You will lead execution, organizational effectiveness, and engineering delivery for embedded software platforms. You will establish processes and standards, develop managers and engineers, manage performance, partner across engineering functions, and improve reliability, scalability, and delivery consistency.
Requirements
- Strategic planning for organizational and technical needs
- Embedded software systems and platform-development background
- Experience leading managers and engineering organizations responsible for complex software platforms
- Experience driving engineering processes, standards, and delivery frameworks across distributed teams
- Experience managing managers and professionals
- Experience with embedded Linux, middleware, or low-level platform software
- Experience with safety-critical or highly reliable software systems
- Experience leading cross-functional execution across software, hardware, systems, integration, and validation
- Knowledge of test automation, observability, platform reliability, and performance metrics
- Experience supporting incident response, root-cause investigations, security initiatives, and compliance activities
Responsibilities
- Develop business plans and operational priorities
- Facilitate delivery processes for scalable, high-quality embedded software platforms
- Collaborate with management and engineering teams to meet objectives
- Drive accountability through metrics, engineering processes, and delivery standards
- Develop, coach, and mentor managers and engineers
- Select and manage team performance
- Provide continuous performance feedback and organizational development
- Conduct compensation analysis with peer managers and People Operations
- Improve processes, engineering practices, and operational consistency
- Partner across platform, autonomy, hardware, safety, and integration functions to deliver reliable system software
