About the Role
You will lead the design and development of highly complex applications, components, platforms, and services. You will oversee implementation of advanced data models, data marts, and data flows, set technical standards and best practices, manage outsourced engineering and third-party providers, develop and maintain the engineering roadmap, establish and track KPIs, remove obstacles, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree and extensive game industry experience
- Experience working within cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing)
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective cross-functional relationships
- Strong experience managing, leading, and coaching software engineering teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well management skills with multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment (start-up or growth business experience preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of highly complex applications, components, software platforms, and services
- Oversee implementation of advanced data models, data marts, and data flows
- Establish technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for the engineering team
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering department
- Oversee outsourced engineering activities and manage third-party providers
- Ensure high-quality deliverables from external partners within budget
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Monitor progress, remove obstacles, and ensure timely delivery of roadmap initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet outcomes and expectations
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, tool enhancements, and technological innovation
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive technical vision
- Establish and track key performance indicators to measure engineering effectiveness
- Implement data-driven decision-making and continuously optimize processes and resource allocation
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable engineering solutions
