About the Role

You will lead people and manage delivery for a software engineering team. You will own roadmap planning, priorities, sequencing, hiring, career development, performance management, culture, and resource allocation. You will translate technical and business requirements into delivery plans, manage dependencies and risks, track progress, and communicate status to stakeholders. You will work with Tech Leads and Staff Engineers on technical direction and act as a liaison with Engineering, Trading, and Quant teams to roll out new products.

Requirements

  • Project management experience, including building roadmaps, sequencing work, managing dependencies and risk, and driving delivery predictability.
  • Technical background sufficient to engage credibly in technical discussions.
  • Experience leading, growing, and managing the performance of software engineers.
  • Track record of delivering software through a team while balancing scope, quality, and timelines.
  • People leadership skills including coaching, feedback, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Judgment in hiring and developing talent.
  • Communication skills with technical and non-technical cross-functional stakeholders, including Trading and Quant.
  • Based in Amsterdam or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Own roadmap priorities, planning, and work sequencing in line with company goals.
  • Manage career planning, promotions, coaching, and continuous performance management for engineers.
  • Lead hiring, headcount planning, and resource allocation.
  • Manage team culture, morale, productivity, and conflict resolution.
  • Hold regular one-on-ones, provide timely feedback, and invest in team building.
  • Translate technical and business requirements into delivery plans, identifying dependencies and risks.
  • Liaise between Engineering, Trading, and Quant teams to design and roll out new products.
  • Track progress against plans, manage risks and scope trade-offs, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Improve delivery processes and team velocity.
  • Align team work with organisational goals and delivery timelines in collaboration with Tech Leads and Staff Engineers.
