About the Role
You will lead the Client Engineering organisation and set the technical direction and standards for mobile and web applications. You will partner with Staff Engineers and Engineering Managers to improve frontend architecture, monorepo workflows, release engineering, observability, automation, and client-side AI capabilities. You will evaluate technical and workforce choices, resolve bottlenecks, and communicate trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience leading significant engineering organisations
- Experience with high-scale frontend architecture
- Understanding of frontend best practices
- Experience improving efficiency and modernising mobile release cycles
- Ability to evaluate and communicate technical and organisational trade-offs
- Ability to connect technical foundations with team velocity
- Ability to align technical strategy with business goals
Responsibilities
- Drive a pragmatic frontend strategy with Staff Engineers
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale monorepo workflows
- Evaluate the technology stack and workforce model to maximise engineering leverage
- Advocate for product virtualisation and observability systems
- Deliver a modern release engineering model with comprehensive automation
- Provide thought leadership on AI and agentic client-side solutions
