About the Role
You will join UTA Brand Studio as a passionate, collaborative Design Director working alongside a leading team of designers, strategists and creative specialists. Reporting to the Creative Director and into the agency's Head of Design, you'll act as a thoughtful and connected creative strategist as well as an inspiring, detail-oriented client brand manager. You'll bring your background in corporate identity design, strong concept development skills, excellent typographic touch, and strong communication to lead project teams and spearhead initiatives on behalf of top-tier clients across entertainment and media. You'll play a lead role in developing culturally relevant, progressive creative solutions as clients build and launch new companies, ventures, IP, and creative initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or relevant field of study strongly preferred
- 8+ years of prior work experience in a design or branding agency or in-house design studio
- Demonstrated portfolio showing strong conceptual thinking and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial with a passion for collaborative, fast-paced environments
- Ability to prioritize and meet competing project deadlines
- Ability to inspire and learn from teammates
- Excellent typography and drawing skills
- Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Experience with Keynote and Canva a strong plus
- Experience with motion graphics, AI image development, and 3D cinema programs a plus
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage time and hit delivery deadlines
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams in conceptualizing and building visual identity programs from the ground up
- Create emotional and resonant brand worlds for clients and their brand initiatives
- Innovate, design, and expand tent-pole, in-house marketing and communication initiatives
- Design specialty programming and identity and campaign solutions for global entertainment and media events
- Work closely with team members and agency partners to realize design solutions across print, packaging, and digital channels
- Lead all stages of the design process from sketching and brainstorming through final production
- Build assets and guidelines for delivery to clients and their partners
