About the Role
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases powering web and mobile applications. Collaborate across engineering, product, and DevOps teams; architect scalable and secure fintech solutions; implement quality and deployment best practices; and adopt AI tools to improve productivity and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of back-end development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role
- Experience working in a retail brokerage
- Hands-on experience with Node, Express, TypeScript, and NestJS for REST APIs and services
- Strong SQL experience; NoSQL exposure is a plus
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with caching and messaging queues such as Kafka
- Experience with Postman and Git or Bitbucket
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases that support web and mobile applications
- Foster technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver integrated features and services
- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions for high-volume fintech systems
- Implement code quality, testing, code review, and deployment best practices
- Track emerging back-end, blockchain, and fintech technologies and recommend improvements
- Champion thoughtful AI adoption to improve team and business outcomes
- Use AI tools and automation to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality
