About the Role
You will own the lifecycle of production Postgres and ClickHouse clusters, from design and deployment through upgrades and decommissioning. You will maintain resilience, backups, monitoring, capacity planning, and performance; lead data-tier incident response; execute low-downtime migrations; operate supporting key-value and document stores; and automate routine operations.

Responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle of production Postgres and ClickHouse clusters
- Run replication, high availability, and failover processes
- Design, verify, and rehearse backup and point-in-time recovery procedures
- Maintain monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning for database workloads
- Drive query-level and schema-level performance improvements
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead data-tier incident response
- Run blameless post-mortems for data-tier outages
- Plan and execute schema changes, version upgrades, and data migrations with minimal downtime
- Operate supporting key-value and NoSQL stores
- Develop provisioning, configuration, and operations automation using Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD
- Contribute to data-tier standards, runbooks, and operational practices
