About the Role

As thirdweb's first Data Scientist hire, you'll help the company make informed decisions based on meaningful data insights. You'll work in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape product development, influence the roadmap, and better understand customers. You'll use data to identify opportunities, evaluate impact, prioritize initiatives, set goals, and understand customers.

Requirements

  • At least a BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science, with 4+ years of relevant experience in fast-growing technology companies
  • Experience driving impact for software products with an iterative development cycle
  • Experience in data analysis with SQL
  • Experience with programming and modelling in Python
  • Demonstration of curiosity, bias toward action, teamwork, and customer-focused decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses on products and the ecosystem to answer open-ended questions and provide strategic recommendations
  • Develop and maintain key product metrics and dashboards, identifying trends, correlations, and insights to drive roadmap changes
  • Work with internal teams to build data pipelines and ensure data accuracy and quality
  • Measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics
  • Define and test levers to improve the product and drive usage through insights and recommendations
