About the Role
You will partner with Billing Engineering, Finance, and Accounting to build accurate billing and revenue datasets. You will create dbt models and pipelines, reconcile data across systems, define metrics and service levels, support operations, and deliver dashboards and self-service data products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role
- SQL
- Python
- dbt
- Airflow
- GitHub
- Experience with billing data and concepts including invoicing, payments, credits, refunds, and subscriptions
- Experience building dashboards and reporting with Hex
Responsibilities
- Translate billing, finance, and accounting needs into technical requirements
- Design, build, and maintain dbt data models and pipelines
- Own revenue data accuracy and reconciliation across systems
- Define billing-system success metrics and monitoring
- Set data integrity standards and SLAs
- Share on-call and data operations responsibilities
- Build dashboards and self-service data products
- Champion dbt, data modeling, and SQL best practices
- Influence the Billing Engineering roadmap from a data systems perspective
- Become an expert in data models and data architecture
