About the Role
You will define and execute the data platform vision, roadmap, infrastructure, and architecture strategy. You will lead and develop data engineering and platform teams, build and operate large-scale pipelines and infrastructure, develop data marts and warehouses, and establish data governance, quality, access-control, and security standards.
Requirements
- Have at least 8 years of experience building and operating data engineering and data platforms.
- Have at least 2 years of experience leading a data organization or technical projects.
- Have hands-on experience designing and building large-scale data pipelines in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Be proficient with distributed processing and big-data technologies including Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks, and BigQuery.
- Have advanced proficiency in SQL and pipeline development languages including Python, Java, and Scala.
- Have deep knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL, Data Lakehouse, and data-storage architectures.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the data platform vision, roadmap, infrastructure, and architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead data engineers and platform developers through performance management, technical coaching, and recruiting.
- Build and operate large-scale data pipelines and infrastructure for data collection, storage, processing, distributed-environment optimization, and reliability.
- Develop and operate data marts and data warehouses, including ETL/ELT pipelines and data-model optimization.
- Establish data governance and security standards, including data quality, catalogs, metadata, access permissions, and security controls.
