About the Role
You will define ETL processes and infrastructure, build trusted core datasets, and create scalable pipelines for product and business data. You will partner with stakeholders and data scientists to understand needs, automate workflows, establish data-delivery SLAs, and enable self-service analytics and AI-powered data exploration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a data engineer building core datasets and supporting business functions
- Experience with analytics, data modeling, and complex problem solving
- Understanding of scalable cloud data solutions including AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, SQL/NoSQL, columnar formats, dimensional modeling, data marts, and schemas
- Expert SQL skills including aggregation, window functions, UDFs, self-joins, and query optimization
- Object-oriented programming proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience using AI and agent-based tools for production-scale data development
Responsibilities
- Define ETL processes and infrastructure that make data available across the company
- Build core datasets as single sources of truth for product and business teams
- Partner with data scientists and stakeholders to design, build, and monitor scalable data pipelines
- Implement automated workflows that reduce operational costs
- Define SLAs for timely data delivery
- Democratize data through self-service dashboards, discovery tools, and AI-enabled exploration
