About the Role
You will translate stakeholder data needs into technical requirements. You will build and manage dbt pipelines and data models, establish data-quality standards and SLAs, create dashboards and data products, enable self-serve analytics, and advise Product and GTM roadmaps from a data-systems perspective.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar Data Science and Analytics role
- Experience building multi-step ETL jobs and data models with dbt
- Proficiency with Airflow and GitHub
- Expertise in SQL and Python
- Experience with data reporting and dashboarding tools such as Hex
- Experience building an analytics data engineering function at startups
Responsibilities
- Translate stakeholder data needs into technical requirements
- Define, build, and manage dbt data pipelines
- Establish data integrity standards and SLAs
- Develop dashboards for core metrics
- Build data products, dashboards, and tools for self-serve analytics
- Influence Product and GTM roadmaps from a data systems perspective
- Develop expertise in organizational data models and architecture
