About the Role
You will deploy and maintain GPU and CPU server infrastructure in a 24×7 data center environment. You will rack and cable equipment, respond to incidents, diagnose and repair hardware, coordinate facility and warranty work, manage spare parts, improve deployment operations, and assist with network, hardware, and Linux OS issues.
Requirements
- Experience as a data center technician or in a similar role installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server and network equipment
- Experience with large-scale network and server deployments
- Understanding of GPU hardware and liquid-cooled rack solutions
- Ability to independently manage facility projects
- Understanding of servers, network equipment, and data center services including power, cooling, and service-provider cross-connections
- Experience troubleshooting, building, repairing, and upgrading servers
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment and respond proactively to incidents
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain servers and network equipment, including racking, cabling, and physical configuration
- Respond to server, network, and infrastructure issues
- Coordinate with facility staff on power, cooling, maintenance, outages, and escalations
- Diagnose and repair hardware, including CPUs, memory, drives, motherboards, and network cables
- Coordinate with vendor warranty technicians
- Identify efficiency issues and develop resolution plans
- Maintain and document spare-parts inventory
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment efficiency, automation, and monitoring
- Escalate issues and assist system administrators with network, hardware, and Linux OS debugging
