About the Role
You will manage data center infrastructure remotely while coordinating hardware installations, cabling, power and cooling requirements, capacity planning, vendors, managed service providers, inventory, shipping and receiving. You will troubleshoot and repair data center hardware, maintain standards and documentation, collaborate on site work, evaluate industry trends and occasionally travel to data centers or offices.
Requirements
- At least two years of onsite data center experience
- Understanding of electrical power cooling mechanical and safety infrastructure
- Knowledge of cabling standards media types and installation practices
- Hardware repair experience with servers network devices or storage devices
- Ability to understand basic network designs and topologies
- Linux command-line experience for basic troubleshooting and scripting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global environment
- High standards for work quality

Responsibilities
- Manage data center infrastructure including power cooling hardware cabling tools and supplies
- Plan requirements for new hardware installations
- Oversee managed service providers and onsite technicians
- Maintain data center standards and documentation
- Coordinate work with colocation providers hardware vendors and internal teams
- Perform data center capacity planning
- Troubleshoot and repair data center hardware
- Manage equipment shipping receiving and inventory
- Evaluate industry trends and recommend improvements
- Travel occasionally to data centers and offices
