About the Role
You will oversee data center technicians and supervisors, manage power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments, and maintain reliable operations. You will improve hardware lifecycle, incident, inventory, maintenance, vendor, and ticketing processes while tracking operational metrics and supporting expansion.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of data center operations or similar critical-environment experience.
- 3 or more years managing technical teams.
- Expertise in server hardware, cabling, and data center technologies.
- Ability to perform occasional on-call duties.
- Willingness to travel to data center locations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and occasionally use ladders.
Responsibilities
- Manage power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments.
- Lead, train, evaluate, and develop data center operations technicians.
- Manage hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, and inventory.
- Coordinate technicians, AI specialists, and external vendors.
- Champion energy-efficient and sustainable operations.
- Track uptime, power efficiency, and issue-resolution metrics.
- Lead urgent incident response and resolve operational issues.
- Build preventative-maintenance and Jira ticketing workflows.
- Standardize best practices across sites as needed.
