About the Role
You will serve as the senior technical authority for Crusoe’s data center architecture. You will evaluate emerging technologies, define system-level integration concepts and reference architectures, guide technologies from bench testing through hyperscale deployment, author specifications and standards, lead design reviews, advise on technical decisions, and partner with internal engineering teams and external technology providers.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in data center design, large-scale infrastructure, hyperscale computing environments, or industrial power systems
- Ability to architect and optimize across electrical power, mechanical and thermal systems, compute infrastructure, and facility design
- Working knowledge of power generation and distribution, cooling technologies including direct liquid cooling, data center facility design, and compute and networking infrastructure
- Experience leading technology evaluations, feasibility studies, or architectural explorations
- Experience authoring system-level architecture documents, interface specifications, and integration standards
- Ability to influence and align engineering teams across organizational boundaries
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- Exceptional communication skills

- Lead development of next-generation data center reference architectures
- Scan the industry for emerging technologies and vendor capabilities
- Define and maintain systems-level infrastructure architecture
- Guide technologies from evaluation and bench testing through hyperscale rollout
- Serve as the principal technical voice within the R&D organization
- Author system specifications, interface control documents, and design standards
- Partner with engineering teams across the company
- Build and maintain technical relationships with technology providers, research groups, and laboratories
- Advise leadership on long-term technology choices
