About the Role
You will maintain the health of server and network infrastructure and improve detection and repair performance. You will troubleshoot and repair hardware, install and cable equipment, manage operations tickets and inventory, maintain documentation, handle vendor returns, and implement data center network layouts.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with server, storage, compute, and network hardware
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and network infrastructure
- Linux skills
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Availability and willingness to work the night shift
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, monitor, diagnose, and repair servers
- Rack and stack data center network equipment
- Maintain network infrastructure and repair optics and fiber links
- Manage and resolve data center operations tickets in Jira
- Create and maintain task documentation and standard operating procedures
- Receive and decommission data center hardware
- Install racks, servers, and switches
- Stage, cable, power up, and hand off hardware for provisioning
- Maintain warehouse inventory and asset management
- Process vendor returns
- Manage spare-parts inventory
- Define, design, and implement data center network layouts and solutions
