About the Role
You will lead data center technicians and oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server and network infrastructure. You will manage tickets, inventory, asset tracking, hardware intake, repairs, cabling, and decommissioning. You will establish operating procedures, coordinate with engineering teams, improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and respond to critical events when on call.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of experience with server, storage, compute, and network hardware
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure
- Leadership experience in a data center or technical operations environment
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet with safety gear
- Ability to work in noisy environments
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor data center technicians
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server and network infrastructure
- Manage power cabling, fiber labeling, and hardware decommissioning
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Coordinate hardware intake and repair processes with engineering and provisioning teams
- Maintain inventory and asset-management records
- Manage Jira operations tickets and documentation
- Collaborate on network layouts and solutions
- Improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime
- Provide on-call support for critical events
