About the Role

You will manage daily data center operations and a team of technicians. You will oversee infrastructure work, incidents, capacity, vendors, assets, physical security, safety, and audit readiness while maintaining continuous customer-facing operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years in data center operations
• At least 2 years in a formal leadership or supervisory role
• Experience supporting 24/7 customer-facing operations, shift scheduling, and on-call management
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
• Ability to hire, train, and lead technical operations teams
• Written and verbal communication skills for high-pressure incident scenarios
• Experience with ticketing and incident tracking systems

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of Data Center Technicians
• Conduct one-to-ones, performance reviews, and skill-gap assessments
• Oversee inventory and RMA workflows
• Manage installation, cabling, and decommissioning of server, storage, and networking hardware
• Act as the primary escalation point for data center incidents
• Coordinate emergency repairs and root-cause analysis
• Monitor power, cooling, and space utilization
• Supervise third-party maintenance contractors
• Maintain accuracy in the DCIM database
• Enforce physical security protocols and OSHA safety standards
• Lead compliance audit readiness and maintain documentation
