About the Role
You will manage data center technicians and oversee daily operations, deployments, inventory, and installation standards. You will maintain infrastructure availability, reliability, security, and customer SLAs while troubleshooting systems, documenting topology, planning capacity, and coordinating with relevant functions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with critical data center infrastructure systems
- Knowledge of power distribution, airflow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM, structured cabling, and cable management
- Basic Linux administration knowledge
- Experience setting up Ethernet and InfiniBand networking appliances
- Ability to mentor team members
- Presence at the Plano, Texas data center five days per week
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead data center technicians
- Maintain data center availability, reliability, security, and customer SLAs
- Oversee racking, labeling, cabling, configuration, deployment, and daily operations
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Document data center layouts and network topology in DCIM software
- Coordinate system deployments and project plans
- Manage parts-depot inventory and equipment lifecycle tracking
- Create installation standards and documentation
- Assess data center capacity, power, cooling, and cabling requirements
- Ensure compliance with standards and policies
