About the Role

Design operational computing environments and high-density data center whitespace layouts, integrating power, cooling, capacity planning, structured cabling, and fiber management while maintaining CAD/BIM documentation and enforcing industry standards and building codes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities, or Data Center Engineering
  • At least 5+ years of data center design experience
  • Experience in cloud-scale or hyperscale environments
  • Advanced CAD/BIM skills using AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of data center power distribution, UPS systems, HVAC and cooling systems, and structured cabling
  • Knowledge of TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, and ANSI/BICSI standards
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel to data center sites

Responsibilities

  • Design whitespace layouts, rack placement, and aisle configurations
  • Integrate power delivery and cooling systems
  • Develop 3D models and capacity planning tools
  • Design structured cabling and fiber management systems
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments
  • Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning
  • Enforce industry standards and local building codes
  • Produce and maintain CAD/BIM drawings and schematics
  • Evaluate modular technologies and design methodologies
