About the Role

You will refine credit underwriting strategies using advanced analytics and alternative data. You will analyze loan performance, model expansion initiatives, investigate losses and defaults, develop segment economics and yield models, design tests and monitoring frameworks, validate rule changes, support diligence, and ensure credit strategies meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field
  • 5+ years of credit risk management or data science experience in consumer lending
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Advanced Python or R skills
  • Experience with predictive modeling, customer segmentation, and statistical procedures
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Looker
  • Comply with company security policies and data-handling procedures
  • Complete required security awareness training
  • Report suspected security incidents or suspicious activity

Responsibilities

  • Refine credit underwriting strategies using advanced analytics
  • Analyze loan performance to model expansion initiatives, identify customer segments, and optimize conversion
  • Analyze credit losses and default trends and strengthen fraud controls
  • Develop valuation models and advise on yield projections and performance assumptions
  • Design A/B tests that balance risk control, conversion, and user experience
  • Validate performance before and after credit and fraud rule changes
  • Design monitoring frameworks for product launches and emerging portfolio risks
  • Present underwriting methodology to investors and support due diligence inquiries
  • Ensure credit strategies meet regulatory requirements
  • Conduct quantitative analyses for credit, operations, and product objectives
