About the Role
You will build and maintain standard costs, component-level BOM costing, labor rates, and overhead allocation methods. You will lead ERP manufacturing-costing implementation, manage inventory valuation and variance analysis, support cost and pricing decisions, develop indirect cost rates, and complete manufacturing close activities including reconciliations, roll-forwards, COGS recognition, and variance journals.
Requirements
- Experience building or running cost accounting for hardware manufacturing
- Proficiency with standard costing systems, cost rolls, and variance analysis
- Experience implementing or using an ERP manufacturing and costing module
- Understanding of inventory accounting for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods
- Experience at an engineering-driven manufacturer in defense, aerospace, robotics, industrial hardware, or an adjacent field
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations
- Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain standard costs, BOM costing, labor rates, and overhead allocation methods
- Analyze material, purchase-price, labor-efficiency, and overhead variances
- Lead manufacturing and costing module implementation in the ERP
- Maintain inventory costing and valuation for raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods
- Partner with supply chain on component cost changes and engineering change orders
- Support DCAA indirect cost rate development and government contract compliance
- Provide cost buildups for contract proposals and pricing decisions
- Support month-end inventory reconciliation, WIP roll-forward, COGS recognition, and variance journals
