About the Role
You will lead client management projects from opening to closing and ensure projects are implemented compliantly. You will manage regulatory requirements, support legal and compliance with contracts and regulatory matters, draft and review agreements, and advise on legal and commercial risk. You will administer corporate governance and corporate actions, run due diligence and onboarding processes, handle investee operational queries, manage billing and commission workflows, and maintain accurate compliance and CPD records. You will coach and supervise junior team members, represent the business in regulatory and external forums, manage BF support tickets related to investor relations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes. This role requires working remotely and securely from your own device (Apple Mac only) and participating in flexible shift patterns.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a related regulatory and Compliance/Risk function at a financial services company or similar is desirable but not necessary
- Well organised self-starter able to work autonomously with commitment to ongoing learning
- Foundational knowledge of Compliance regulations AML requirements sanctions and consumer risks
- Familiarity applying compliance frameworks to crypto assets and products
- Excellent judgment and analysis with ability to research compile complex data and make recommendations
- Mid-level to advanced knowledge of the crypto-economy with strong desire to learn
- Experience in leading and motivating a team and leading by example
- Direct experience in due diligence and leading process design and execution
- Understanding of global securities law
- Good business management skills
- Excellent client services and investor relations skills
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Ability to work remotely securely using own private secured WiFi and Apple Mac devices only
Responsibilities
- Manage regulatory requirements and provide contractual support
- Participate in development of the regulatory broker function
- Assess applicable regulations and set company standards with Risk Legal Compliance Tech and Privacy
- Support Legal and internal teams with legal contracts and communications to investors and clients
- Collaborate with Legal Tech Product and client-facing teams to establish and maintain client contracts
- Identify monitor and manage legal risks and advise stakeholders
- Ensure legal and commercial risks are minimised through communication with stakeholders
- Support management of legal priorities and objectives within the business
- Contribute to process design special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support Compliance with regulatory data protection and contentious matters
- Manage contractual relationships and legal risk with suppliers partners and third parties
- Advise on complex cross-functional agreements
- Report to senior management on relevant compliance issues
- Ensure relevant policies and procedures are in place and adhered to
- Risk-spot and proactively identify mitigation solutions
- Support the Board with corporate and governance related matters
- Determine goals and initiatives for Pitch Management
- Identify educate and qualify leads and support prospect integration
- Support Marketing on out-bounding strategies and pipeline conversion
- Facilitate negotiation drafting and legal and regulatory analyses
- Administer due diligence activities and review associated documentation
- Work with client onboarding teams to ensure seamless client experience
- Innovate to drive onboarding team performance
- Act as gatekeeper to pitch due diligence and operations templates
- Manage process documentation and provide ongoing process support
- Provide training coach supervise and motivate junior team members
- Leverage Sales Development to qualify leads and develop strategic client relationships
- Lead presentations for investee entity meetings and act as primary operational contact
- Handle investee enquiries resolve broker billing issues and maintain service levels
- Represent the business across platforms engage with colleagues clients and investors
- Manage external counsel and suppliers and propose budgets
- Maintain accurate detailed and up to date compliance records
- Respond to requests for information from CIMA and provide requisite notifications
- Attend market regulatory and governance webinars and feedback professional and regulatory risks
- Manage and handle BF Support Tickets related to investor relations client services queries and complaints
