About the Role
You will lead overnight mechanical construction for data-center infrastructure. You will coordinate contractors and crews, monitor installations and progress, enforce schedules and safety requirements, resolve site issues, inspect work for code and quality compliance, and report risks and construction metrics.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing mechanical construction teams on large-scale industrial or mission-critical projects
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical installation experience, including process piping, HVAC, chilled water plants, pumps, and cooling infrastructure
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and random drug and alcohol testing
- Pass pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks
- Work night shift with flexibility for evenings and weekends
- Lift 25+ lbs and perform physically demanding work in outdoor and tight conditions
Responsibilities
- Oversee overnight mechanical installations, including HVAC, cooling, piping, pumps, and fire-suppression systems
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and on-site crews
- Maintain construction logs, red-line drawings, and as-built documentation
- Develop and enforce construction schedules and budgets
- Enforce safety requirements during night operations
- Lead, train, and supervise foremen and mechanical crews
- Resolve material, technical, sequencing, and trade-coordination issues
- Inspect work for regulatory, code, safety, and quality compliance
- Prepare progress reports, construction metrics, and risk updates
