About the Role
You will lead on-site data center construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover. You will coordinate contractors, vendors, engineering disciplines, and technical stakeholders; manage schedules, risks, changes, costs, safety, and reporting; and resolve technical and operational roadblocks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects
- Engineering background with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
- Experience leading on-site construction teams and managing multi-vendor programs
- Excellent cross-disciplinary communication skills
- Ability to solve complex real-time problems using data-driven decision-making
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and random drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to pass pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds
Responsibilities
- Act as the senior construction representative for the Memphis data center
- Manage relationships with contractors, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee project execution from pre-construction and site development through commissioning and handover
- Coordinate vendors and trade partners across field, engineering, and technical teams
- Identify and mitigate delivery, safety, schedule, and operational risks
- Drive project progress and resolve roadblocks
- Create and align construction schedules and deliverables
- Partner with engineering and commissioning teams on technical integration
- Deliver KPI dashboards, reports, and project updates
- Ensure compliance with technical, quality, and engineering standards
- Perform quantity take-offs, field verifications, and progress monitoring
- Manage change orders and value-engineering solutions
- Lead site safety initiatives
- Support cross-functional partners as needs evolve
