About the Role
You will provide hands-on technical support for selecting, managing, creating, and quality-controlling electronic components for space programs. You will develop component requirements, maintain ECAD libraries, manage part numbers and data, review PCNs and GIDEP alerts, and coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and reliability stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of EEE parts qualification and screening requirements
- Knowledge of JEDEC, EIA, IPC, military, NASA, and ESA standards
- Knowledge of electronic component management practices
- Knowledge of space design requirements, processes, and applications
- Experience with electronic components, processors, memories, connectors, wires, cables, metal finishes, tin whisker mitigation, and lead-free control
- Understanding of thermal, structural, high-speed digital, and impedance-control analysis techniques
- Understanding of configuration management, requirements, and traceability
- Communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Develop component requirements and select parts
- Manage parts, part numbers, and component data
- Address component obsolescence
- Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and reliability stakeholders
- Standardize parts by recommending reuse from the database
- Maintain ECAD libraries and introduce new parts
- Review PCNs and GIDEP alerts and advise affected teams
