About the Role

You will own and expand the Altium Designer component library. You will create and validate schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models; enforce library standards; manage component lifecycles; verify part data against datasheets; support traceability; align component data with PLM and ERP systems; perform library cleanups; and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Altium Designer, including schematic library and PCB footprint creation
• Strong attention to detail when cross-referencing datasheets and verifying pin counts, pad geometry, and package dimensions
• Familiarity with component lifecycle and PLM concepts
• Understanding of component conventions, reference designators, tolerances, AEC-Q200 grading, and approved alternates
• Ability to work across a distributed electrical engineering team and prioritize library requests

Responsibilities

• Own the Altium component library
• Create, validate, and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models
• Enforce library standards and naming conventions
• Manage component lifecycle statuses in Altium
• Verify manufacturer part numbers, alternates, and footprint and pinout data
• Support component, symbol, and footprint traceability
• Add, retire, and validate components on request
• Support Altium component-data integration with Teamcenter and part numbering
• Perform bulk library cleanup and standardization
• Maintain library documentation in Confluence
