About the Role
You will support new product introduction and volume manufacturing by specifying, selecting and sourcing components. You will manage component data, bill-of-material revisions, compliance checks, supply risks and alternative sourcing. You will work with manufacturing, test, quality, supply-chain, suppliers and contract manufacturers to assess component technologies.
Requirements
- Electronics knowledge, including component parameters, datasheets and selection trade-offs
- In-depth knowledge of bill-of-material management and sourcing systems such as Arena and Silicon Expert
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and SMT assembly processes
- Ability to understand interactions between silicon, package and PCB design
- Experience working with electronics supply-chain suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Excel, Power BI or similar tools
Responsibilities
- Specify, select and source electronic components
- Support new product introduction and volume manufacturing
- Manage component data and bill-of-material revisions
