About the Role
You will inspect incoming server components and hardware subassemblies, conduct in-process inspections, and validate completed server racks and integrated systems before shipment. You will verify builds against drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and work instructions; document results; manage nonconforming materials; support corrective actions; and ensure safety and ESD compliance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification preferred
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience in server assembly, electronics manufacturing, data center hardware, or electromechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
- Experience with ESD handling procedures and electronic component inspection
- Proficiency using calipers, torque tools, multimeters, and other measurement tools
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Experience with server rack builds, networking equipment installation, or data center hardware integration
- Familiarity with IPC standards or ISO-based quality systems
- Experience in NPI or startup manufacturing environments
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspections of server components and hardware subassemblies
- Conduct in-process mechanical and electrical assembly inspections
- Perform final inspection and validation before shipment
- Verify builds against engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and work instructions
- Inspect torque, labeling, cable routing, grounding, and workmanship
- Validate installation of servers, networking components, storage units, and power systems
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Identify, document, and manage nonconforming materials
- Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Improve quality and reduce defects with Manufacturing and Engineering
- Ensure compliance with safety and ESD protocols
