About the Role
You will independently manage and implement the compliance framework for a licensed trading entity in the Netherlands. You will monitor and implement regulatory requirements, maintain policies, conduct trade surveillance, complete reporting and risk assessments, train employees, and support counterparty onboarding.
Requirements
- Degree in Law, Finance, or a related field
- 5–8 years of hands-on compliance experience in the Netherlands financial-services sector
- Deep knowledge of the Dutch Wwft and EU AML Directives
- Strong understanding of MiCAR regulation and its market-integrity and conduct rules
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
- Cryptocurrency or high-frequency trading industry experience preferred
- Trade surveillance systems experience preferred
- Familiarity with DORA preferred
- Relevant industry certifications such as CAMS preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret, and implement relevant Dutch and EU regulations
- Draft, adapt, maintain, and implement local compliance policies
- Conduct trade surveillance and investigate potential market abuse
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the AFM and DNB
- Assist with regulatory inquiries
- Perform compliance risk assessments and report findings
- Deliver compliance training to local employees
- Manage compliance aspects of counterparty onboarding and due diligence
