About the Role

You will bridge regulatory obligations and technical systems. You will translate financial regulations into engineering specifications, design and maintain compliance controls, assess implementations for gaps, and lead remediation. You will develop analytics and data controls, support reporting and audits, maintain technical documentation, and monitor regulatory changes that require engineering action.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in compliance engineering, fintech compliance, or a similar technical compliance role
  • Working knowledge of United States BSA, AML, KYC, OFAC sanctions, and FinCEN requirements
  • Experience with transaction monitoring systems, identity verification workflows, or watchlist screening tools
  • Ability to read and reason about Python, SQL, or similar code
  • Experience translating regulatory language into technical requirements or acceptance criteria
  • Written communication skills for engineering audiences and regulators
  • Experience with SQL, data analytics, and reconciliation techniques for compliance controls and regulatory reporting

Responsibilities

  • Translate AML, KYC, BSA, FinCEN, OFAC, and related regulatory requirements into technical specifications
  • Design, build, and maintain compliance systems and controls
  • Review technical implementations for regulatory gaps and lead remediation efforts
  • Develop compliance analytics, data quality controls, and reconciliation processes
  • Serve as the technical subject-matter expert during regulatory exams, audits, and third-party assessments
  • Monitor evolving United States and international regulatory requirements and identify needed engineering actions
  • Write and maintain technical compliance documentation, runbooks, and policies
  • Support SAR, CTR, and other regulatory reporting workflows from systems and data-integrity perspectives
