About the Role

You will develop and maintain AML/CFT policies and financial-crime controls. You will support authorization, inspections, regulatory reporting, risk assessments, and remediation. You will provide operational compliance guidance, review higher-risk cases, deliver training, and prepare reports for management and the Board.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on compliance, AML, or financial-crime experience in a regulated financial services, payments, fintech, or crypto-asset environment
  • Knowledge of MiCAR, AMLR, EU AML requirements, FATF recommendations, and CySEC expectations
  • Experience with KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and financial-crime controls
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, inspections, or authorization processes
  • Experience developing or enhancing compliance policies, procedures, and control frameworks
  • Analytical and investigative skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Current residency in Cyprus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance AML/CFT policies, procedures, and controls
  • Maintain KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer-monitoring controls
  • Monitor EU regulatory developments and advise management
  • Prepare regulatory reports, suspicious transaction reports, and mandatory disclosures
  • Support CASP authorization, regulatory inspections, audits, and information requests
  • Conduct and maintain the Business-Wide Risk Assessment
  • Develop Customer Risk Assessments and risk methodologies
  • Identify and escalate compliance breaches, control weaknesses, and financial-crime risks
  • Prepare compliance and AML reports for management and the Board
  • Provide compliance guidance on onboarding, transaction monitoring, and customer lifecycle management
  • Review higher-risk customers, transactions, and compliance cases
  • Deliver compliance and AML training and awareness programmes
