About the Role

You will review transaction-monitoring alerts and KYC/KYB onboarding applications, verify documents and ownership structures, assess sanctions and adverse-media risks, and analyze transactional activity. You will conduct enhanced due diligence, prepare SAR recommendations and narratives, request additional information, support periodic KYC refreshes, and help improve onboarding and investigation policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, KYC, AML investigations, or onboarding at a fintech, payments, or crypto company
  • Experience reviewing KYB applications, including beneficial ownership analysis, entity structure review, and corporate document verification
  • Experience with OFAC, PEP, and adverse-media screening tools
  • Experience conducting end-to-end AML investigations and preparing SAR-quality case documentation
  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML program requirements and FinCEN SAR filing rules
  • Experience with transaction monitoring platforms
  • Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools and on-chain transaction analysis
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple applications in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • CAMS certification or progress toward certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts and KYC/KYB onboarding applications end to end
  • Verify customer documents, analyze beneficial ownership, and perform sanctions, PEP, adverse-media, and transactional activity reviews
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk applicants
  • Make SAR recommendations and document defensible analyses
  • Draft SAR narratives that meet FinCEN quality standards
  • Send and follow up on RFIs to customers or partners
  • Support periodic KYC refresh reviews for existing customers
  • Contribute to onboarding and investigation policy development
  • Stay current on FinCEN advisories, FATF typologies, and emerging financial-crime trends
