About the Role
You will lead vendor outsourcing and contracting for clinical development. You will run RFI and RFP processes, negotiate agreements and budgets, support clinical-site contracts, monitor vendor delivery and study changes, manage contractual risks, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; Healthcare, Science, or Finance preferred
- 5+ years of experience in clinical outsourcing, contracting, procurement, or finance in pharmaceutical, biopharma, CRO, or clinical research settings
- Knowledge of clinical trial execution, CRO outsourcing models, and GCP and FDA guidelines
- Oncology or rare disease experience
- Contract negotiation, budget management, and project management skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Interest in using AI technologies for contract lifecycle management
- Analytical problem-solving and cross-functional relationship-building skills
Responsibilities
- Provide outsourcing and vendor-management support for clinical development functions
- Lead RFI and RFP processes and recommend vendor selection
- Negotiate and execute vendor agreements and master service agreements
- Define vendor assessment criteria and process improvements
- Negotiate clinical trial agreements and investigator budgets with clinical sites
- Partner with clinical teams and CROs to manage timelines, quality, and budgets
- Assess AI tools for contract negotiation and management
- Monitor study progress, vendor deliverables, resource allocation, and financial reconciliation
- Negotiate change orders and associated costs
- Identify contractual risks, mitigate scope creep, and ensure compliance
- Participate in vendor oversight and governance meetings
