About the Role
You will own the design, testing, and production release of a metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear platform. You will lead engineers, manage high-power laboratory testing, and define ratings, protection, and interlock architecture.
Requirements
- Experience designing metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear or GIS switchgear at an OEM
- Experience taking switchgear through a full high-power laboratory type-test campaign
- Experience with insulation coordination, bus bracing, creepage, and clearance decisions
- Experience integrating third-party breaker elements or operating mechanisms
- Experience leading a product team from concept to production release
Responsibilities
- Own clean-sheet design of a metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear platform
- Deliver a production-released, fully type-tested lineup
- Lead engineers developing the design, testing, and compliance effort
- Run high-power laboratory type tests covering short-circuit, internal arc, BIL, and temperature rise
- Own redesign loops following test results
- Define ratings, protection, IED integration, racking, and interlock architecture
