About the Role
The Chief Audit Executive will evaluate internal control and risk management systems, execute an approved audit plan, prepare reports for senior governance bodies, and verify the reliability of information systems, including accounting systems.
Requirements
- CPA or CIA certification required
- CISA certification required
- 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting business processes
- More than 5 years of audit experience in a financial institution
- Experience in a management role
- Experience leading large-scale initiatives and organizational change
- Consistent history of delivering business results
- Exposure to international accounting and finance complexities
- Demonstrated success leading senior professionals and developing organizations in complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environments
Responsibilities
- Verify the adequacy and effective functioning of internal control and risk management systems through an approved audit plan
- Access all information necessary to perform audit duties
- Draft periodic reports on audit activity, risk management, and compliance with mitigation plans
- Evaluate the adequacy of internal control and risk management systems
- Prepare timely reports on significant events
- Submit reports to the Board of Directors, committees, statutory auditors, and Chief Executive Officer
- Verify the reliability of information systems, including accounting systems
