About the Role
You will create brake-control specifications, guide suppliers in developing control functions and firmware releases, build diagnostic scripts and tools, triage supplier firmware defects, evaluate test results, and collaborate across vehicle integration and engineering disciplines to deliver chassis milestones.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 6+ years of hands-on automotive or aerospace experience
- Experience developing, tuning, or validating hydraulic braking systems
- Experience debugging hardware-software-firmware issues
- Experience developing, configuring, and operating Hardware-in-the-Loop test benches for automated firmware regression testing
- Understanding of the automotive product development lifecycle, software release processes, change management, and schedule planning
Responsibilities
- Author, refine, and maintain brake-control technical specifications
- Lead suppliers in developing brake-control functions and firmware releases
- Design and develop diagnostic scripts and tools for troubleshooting and validation
- Lead triage, resolution, and impact assessment of supplier firmware defects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to integrate innovations into the vehicle platform
