About the Role
You set the strategic direction and oversee the operations, regulatory compliance, financial performance, risk management, governance, stakeholder engagement, and talent management of a European crypto-asset service provider. You liaise with regulators, report to the board, and lead the business in accordance with MiCA and Irish regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Eligibility to work in Ireland or willingness to relocate
- 15+ years of financial services experience focused on crypto-assets or digital currencies
- Senior leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of the MiCA regulatory framework
- Knowledge of crypto-asset markets and financial regulations
- Leadership and strategic thinking skills
- Financial acumen
- Communication skills
- Understanding of regulatory environments and compliance requirements
- Crisis management skills
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field
- Relevant professional certifications in finance, compliance, or management are desirable
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the CASP Broker/Custodian strategic vision and business plan
- Identify new business opportunities
- Oversee day-to-day CASP Broker/Custodian operations
- Manage the senior leadership team
- Develop and monitor performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with MiCA
- Liaise with the Central Bank of Ireland and ESMA
- Implement compliance and risk management frameworks
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting
- Report to the board on financial status and strategic initiatives
- Maintain stakeholder relationships
- Represent the CASP Broker/Custodian at industry events and public forums
- Manage operational risks and business continuity
- Ensure AML and CTF compliance
- Establish corporate governance practices
- Attract, retain, and develop talent
- Oversee executive compensation and development programs
- Propose and execute strategies approved by the board
