About the Role
You will monitor and improve a real-time trading environment, investigate system issues, troubleshoot software and networking infrastructure, design and optimize low-latency network infrastructure, build production automation, coordinate changes and incidents, assess operational risk, and document processes.
Requirements
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems, advanced commands, and shell scripts
- Practical working knowledge of Python
- Understanding of routing, multicast, and Ethernet
- Rigorous and detail-oriented approach to operations
- Ability to operate and communicate clearly under pressure
- Reliable and predictable availability
Responsibilities
- Monitor the overall health and performance of the trading platform
- Analyze and troubleshoot system, software, and networking infrastructure issues
- Design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure for low-latency trading applications
- Build automation to manage and improve the production trading environment
- Coordinate changes and manage incidents with risk management and trading teams
- Manage and assess operational risk for production change control
- Define and document processes and procedures
